Sina

 Her hair was like a beautiful rainbow sparkling in the sun. Her eyes were sparkling like water.Her face was smooth  like a baby's skin.She was tall as a young tree. She walked gracefully like a peacock with its tail spread. She was as beautiful as a waterfall.

We have been working on ways to describe using WOW words. Here is one about Sina.

Room 8s Athletics Day

 Yesterday room 8 and I went to athletics. We started it off by getting into year 3, 4, 5, or 6 lines. Maria was talking about what activity we were going to do. We went to this activity where you had to throw this black metal disc then you have to see how far you can throw it.

Then when we finished that activity we went to the long jump. Some kids jumped long and some didn't jump long. and I was one of them because when I was trying to jump far I failed because I jumped before the line. Then I went to sit by the fence with  Quan.  Me and  Quan were just saying Hi to all the Wesley people.  They said Hi back to me and Quan.  After we did long jump we went to high jump. 

We started off low to medium to high. High was the hardest but the medium was not that hard. I wasn't that good at high jump because when I first jumped I failed. I just need to lift up my legs next time. I wasn't that happy but it was still funny.

Hi, my name is Darcy in room 8 at Owairaka district school . We were looking at
sea animals we put on this thing named VR.  We all saw dolphins and 10.000 fishes. it was the funniest thing I have ever done at school I loved exploring it.

Dear Carla,

I would like to apologise for not coming to see you on Friday and Saturday. It's because I was so sad and angry. Thank you for giving my book report to Mrs Ebbel. Thank you for looking after me. 

Thank you for helping me be a good person. I did go to Colleen’s birthday party  and i hard the best time ever . There was yummy food and lollies . I did eat way too much food and had a sore tummy. I liked the chocolate cake that they had at Colleen’s birthday.

I will miss you a lot. I hope you enjoy taking care of Ronnie the Rabbit.

Howick trip best trip ever

On Thursday we went to Howick historical villager for a class visit. we  went to this school and it was a school from the 1850.  Kids  also used to get smacks in the olden days if they did not listen.
